ThermalTide is a morphogenetic apparatus fusing thermal deformation with water agitation. Motors govern the rhythm of immersion and the patterns of movement that sway the water surface. By parametrically controlling its depth and frequency, the apparatus gives the material the potential for deformation. Submerged in heated fluid, the material begins to search its own form under the laws of buoyancy and water resistance. The generated surface produces a visible reverberation that is imprinted on the material by physical fields that are essentially invisible - namely, heat fields, flow fields, and force fields.
