Forest Ecosomatics is a research project that explores the relationship with more-than-human life through embodied engagement in forest environments. Using a portable and extensible transducer, the system transforms often imperceptible signals—such as environmental acoustic vibrations, the electrical conductivity of natural substrates, and plant bioelectrical activity—into sonic and tactile feedback experienced through wearable devices. Rather than presenting visual representations, this project emphasizes bodily presence and sensory attunement, allowing participants to navigate forest spaces and engage with more-than-human life in forests.
