ExpandWrinkle

熱膨張性素材の性質を応用し、加熱による体積の拡大で、オブジェクトの表面に皺を形成する手法の提案です。加熱時に固い外殻で覆い、膨張を制限することで、素材の表面に皺を作り出します。 膨張率の異なる素材を局所的に配置し、異なる密度や深さの皺をデザインすることを試みます。

We propose a method for forming wrinkles on objects’ surfaces by utilizing the properties of heat-expandable materials to induce volumetric expansion. The material is covered with a rigid shell that restricts its expansion, causing it to form wrinkles on its surface when heated. By strategically arranging materials with different expansion rates, this approach enables the design of wrinkles with varying densities and depths.
