本作品LamiBlowでは、手軽にインフレータブル構造を作成できる装置と造形物のサンプルを展示します。本手法では、部分的に紙などを挟んだ包装用フィルムを家庭用のラミネータで溶着することで、身近な材料だけでインフレータブル構造を造形することができます。使用するフィルムや紙を変えたり絵を描くことで造形物に色や柄を付与したり、ジョイント部材を挟むことで膨張時の屈曲や湾曲などの動きを付与することができます。手軽で直観的に形状や見た目を編集できる新たな造形手法の提案です。
In this work, LamiBlow, we exhibit a device and samples of artifacts that enable the easy creation of inflatable structures. With this technique, it is possible to create inflatable structures using only common materials by partially inserting paper between packaging films and laminating them with a household laminator. By changing the films or paper used, or by drawing on them, it is possible to add color or patterns to the artifacts. Additionally, movements such as bending or curving during expansion can be created by inserting joint components. This work proposes a new fabrication technique that allows for easy and intuitive control of shape and appearance.
