Immersive Flora

Immersive Flora is an interface research and art practice aiming to reconstruct the relationship between nature and humans confronted with environmental crises. This work is a virtual installation that uses living plants as the interface. With the data from biosensors that detect the complex biological responses of plants to environmental elements such as wind, rain and sunlight, we can experience diverse interactions between plants and the natural environment in a virtual setting. In the virtual space composed of Point Cloud data obtained from the 3D reconstruction of plants and the natural environment, the information collected by the biosensors will be visualized as particles reacting in real time.
