熱膨張という素材特性を活用して衣服のテクスチャや形状を書き換えるプロトタイプ。既存の衣服に熱膨張素材で描かれたパターンは、加熱によって膨張し、接していた衣服表面の布地を巻き込みながらその形状を変化させていく。膨張率を定めた素材を、デジタルファブリケーション機器を用いて衣服上にデータに基づいて塗布・配置することで、衣服の上に新たな形態をプログラマブルに生み出すことを試みる。

Prototypes that utilize the material properties of heat expansion to change the shape of the clothing's texture. Using thermal expansion material, a pattern is drawn on clothes which expands when heated, causing the cloth’s surface to roll up and change its shape. By using digital fabrication tools to print the material with the determined expansion rate on the clothes, we are attempting to create new shapes on clothes in a programmable manner.
