本作品ephemeraは、ガラス容器を満たす液体内部で構成される気泡によるインスタレーションである。容器内に規則的に並ぶ気泡は、地球温暖化により絶滅が危惧される動物のイメージを描き出す。 パターンに沿って疎水処理を施した容器に炭酸飲料を注ぐと気泡が発生し、様々な大きさの二酸化炭素の気泡が表面の決められた場所に付着する。気泡のイメージは1日程度安定した状態で維持され、ゆっくりと収縮して消えていく。
ephemera is an installation composed of bubbles which have formed in a glass vessel containing liquid. The bubbles which line up in order, create an image of animals that face extinction due to global warming. By pouring carbonated water into the vessel which is hydrophobically treated in a certain pattern, carbon dioxide bubbles generate and stick at the defined points on the surface of the glass in various sizes. These bubble images are stable for one day before they start to gradually shrink and disappear.
