ABOUT
東京大学筧康明研究室は今年度の研究成果発表として、研究・制作したプロトタイプ作品を集めた展覧会、研究発表会、およびトークイベントで構成される「xlab Showcase 2023 "Ways of Uninventing"」を開催します。
今回のShowcaseでは、「発明」という概念に注目し、捨象されている視点や価値を取り込むテクノロジーやデザイン、生活、表現を考える思考実験および実践として「Ways of Unvinenting」というテーマを設定しました。展覧会では、アクチュエータ、センサ、ディスプレイ、テキスタイル、紙、絵画、生物、流体、建築、AR、遠隔コミュニケーションなど、会場に並ぶ幅広い研究プロトタイプや作品を通してUninventingを体感し、テクノロジーや表現についてのアイディアや議論が広がる場となることを期待しています。
また、会期中の3月21日（火・祝）14:00から17:00には、東京大学情報学環福武ホールにて、研究発表会とドミニク・チェン氏をゲストに迎えるトークイベントも開催します。
As an opportunity to present our research from Yasuaki Kakehi Laboratory at the University of Tokyo for this fiscal year, we are holding the xlab Showcase 2023, "Ways of Uninventing." The showcase consists of research presentations, a talk eventan, and an exhibition of prototypes.
This year's showcase focuses on the concept of 'invention' and sets the theme of 'Ways of Uninventing' as a thought experiment and a practice to consider technology, design, life, and expression that incorporates perspectives and values that have been discarded. We hope that visitors will experience 'Uninventing' through a wide range of research prototypes and artworks, including actuators, sensors, displays, textiles, paper, paintings, biology, fluids, architecture, AR, and remote communication, and that the exhibition will be a platform where ideas and discussion can expand.
In addition, on March 21 (Tue) from 13:00 to 17:00, research presentations and a talk event featuring Dominique Chen will be held at Fukutake Hall, the University of Tokyo iii.
