真正粘菌の変形体は、異種など遠いもの同士は融合しないが、遺伝的に近い変形体や同じ変形体は細かく裁断しても再び融合する。本研究では、複数種の変形体に異なる色の食用色素を摂取させて着色し、融合する性質としない性質を利用した色彩パターン生成を行い、可逆的な混色などの表現技法として提案する。
Plasmodia of true slime molds that are genetically distant, such as different species, will not fuse with each other. On the contrary, genetically close or identical variants will fuse again even if they are cut into small pieces. In this study, I propose a technique for generating color patterns by feeding food dyes of different colors to slime molds of different species, utilizing their ability/inability to fuse, as an expression technique for reversible color mixing.
