“Air on Air” is an online interactive installation using soap bubbles. Through a browser, viewers would look at a website that reflects the sky over a distant land. When they blow on the screen, the “breath” is transmitted through the microphone as data via the Internet, and physical soap bubbles are emitted in real-time to the land in response. The soap bubbles filled with their own “breath” dance through the air and then disappear. These little bubbles appear in the air as an evidence of its presence, also becomes an access to connect the viewer and the far away land. Moreover, the crowds of soap bubbles released from multiple machines will guide to (re)acknowledge the others.

本作品Air on Airは、インターネットを介して息を届け、遠くの空にシャボン玉を飛ばすオンライン参加型のインスタレーションです。体験者は、ウェブサイトにアクセスし、マイクに向かって息を吹きかけることにより、 遠隔の土地にシャボン玉を飛ばすことができます。それらが空へと舞う様子はブラウザへと配信され、画面を通して一人称視点で眺めることができます。移動や距離に制約のある今において、この作品体験は、画面の向こうに広がる世界に身体性を伴いつつ接続し、空気や風という見えない存在を改めて認識する機会を与えてくれます。
